Health Issues Associated With Stomach Fat

Stomach fat is one of those things that everyone strives to lose or not get. Not only is it unappealing but too much abdominal fat can cause serious health issues in the long term. Before I go any further its imperative you understand about the 2 types of fat in your stomach area. Subcutaneous fat and visceral fat.

The fat that sits just underneath skin covering your muscles is known as Subcutaneous fat. The fat underneath your muscles that surrounds your internal organs is known as visceral fat. When you have excess amounts of visceral fat in your stomach area you will find that your stomach becomes very large and feel solid if you push on it. What is commonly referred to as a "beer belly". Visceral fat can cause some serious health issues more so than Subcutaneous fat. Below I have listed some of the potential health risks associated with abdominal fat.

High blood pressure
Heart disease
Stroke
Heart attack

The above symptoms are some of many that could develop if stomach fat is not dealt with immediately. Your best bet to combat this problem is to take up an exercise regime accompanied by a healthy diet to eliminate that fat and decrease potential health risks.

How do I get rid of my stomach fat?

Before we go any further its important to realise there is no quick fix to losing stomach fat. This is not a sprint, it is a marathon. Abdominal fat is usually the last thing to go when embarking on an exercise regime and healthy diet. If you stick to the plan and are consistent I guarantee you will be amazed at the results.

Never give up, and eventually you will have that flat stomach that you have always wanted!
